Conducting heat
and other spicy things đśď¸
Lover and I were talking before going to sleep, and he asked me what I was writing about next. I told him I wasnât sure yet, and asked if he had any ideas. He suggested, âWhy do we feel so different every dayâ. (sweetness overload !) He went into tales about how some days he wakes up feeling amazing, and other days feeling blech. I didnât really have an answer for him other than âWell what you do, eat the day before, what toxins you are exposed to, stress levels, hormone levels and cycles, and amount of sleep all can affect how you feel on a day to day basis.â It didnât satisfy us the way we wanted it to.
I find it so insanely beautiful and rewarding that we have conversations like this. That I am matched with an insightful and introspective human, who is not only emotionally intelligent but curious about the world and has an artistâs perspective on everything. <3 His job is to literally portray and evoke emotion. How cool is that?!
Women are moved by the moon.
To put men and women into two categories (only for a minute) menâs hormone cycle is 24 hours long. That means when they wake up, they hormonally are the same as 24 hours before. Womenâs hormone cycles are about 28 days long and broken down into four phases of hormone habits: Follicular, Ovulation, Luteal, and Menstrual. Itâs a slllloooowwwww cycle of feeling and changing and instead of feeling hormonally the same in 24 hours, itâs every month. This is also why women and the lunar phases are connected, which I think is a sublime occurrence in itself.

Explaining our natural cycles is only a prerequisite to emotions and how we obtain, hold, and release them. Sometimes without warning, we conduct the emotions of others around us. Back to fifth-grade science! When metal is close to a heat source, the metal conducts heat. It takes on the heat of another object. When humans are near each other, breath to breath, we conduct emotions.
Metal conducts heat, we conduct emotions.
What I mean by this is that as humans we have a fine attunement with the animism of the natural world. Attunement is the ability to feel the energy of every-being around you. Believe it or not, we all have energetic fields around us that project our energetic makeup. Street names include: aura, vibe⌠Our heart alone has a three-foot electromagnetic field outside the body. When I learned this eight years ago, my life changed radically. Now it was certain that everything I feel, which is SO much, can be felt around me, and the same goes for others. What someone else is feeling, whether they are attuned or not, I can feel and take on this emotion.
I was speaking with some friends yesterday about this, how everything has a feeling and that feeling affects us is truly wild, well, because we are wild. It even comes down to your food source. If an animal is stressed out from living conditions, and you eat said animal, how are you not to say you can feel the difference? Same thing with plants. If the farmer picking the crop is feeling extraneous and overworked, you receive the same vibe from the crop. Even land. If our land is being overwatered, over-fertilized, and overproduced, we can tell.
Keep in mind, when I say we, I reference our whole being. If your mind canât tell right away because of a variance of factors and distractions, your body can tell, and your energy levels reflect it. Iâm clearly passionate about factory farming and I know we live in an expensive world, we are all just trying our best. Side note: (How is it a luxury to afford humanely raised animal products and unprocessed foods?)
Aside from the animal and plant world, which is our world too, letâs move on to relationships with persons.
Our relationship with others define us, whether we want them to or not.
How you treat others is a direct reflection of your inner world. Everyone is a mirror. What you see in others is what you see, or inadvertently donât see and want to see in yourself. This is where these low vibrational feelings start to fruit. âLow vibrationalâ meaning emotions that drain our light, they arenât bad. Examples of these can be jealousy, envy, angst, hate, triangulation, or offense. If you havenât picked up on this yet, we donât do good or bad here.
Having the capacity to recognize the emotions and mirrors around us is the first step in self-compassion and understanding the full spectrum of our emotions!! This helps us better relate to one another, put self-respect on the forefront, and allow our harmonious earthly relationship to bloom.
It can be overwhelming to be surrounded by people who are constantly projecting. Draining, life-force sucking, deeply transformational but shock-inducing. The thing is, you may be able to remove yourself from the situation, but maybe not. If this is your case, I advise you to have a practice. A practice of any sort to clear yourself of anyoneâs perception or projection of you. Mind-body visualization is key to starting to clear your energetic field, to give to yourself first, so you can authentically show up for others.
A transformational one I always recommend is shower visualization. Taking a shower is a daily ritual already set in stone. Itâs a place for just you. Light a candle, and turn the lights out (my favorite thing to do ever), feel the water hit your body, and wash away the physical and metaphorical dirt and grime. You are renewed with every soap sud. Be with yourself. Breathe with yourself. and weâll get there one step at a time.
If you have any questions on mirroring and self-practice, message me and Iâd love to work with you.
Abundant blessings â
